How to Change Your Smartwatch Band: A Quick and Easy Guide for All Models

Learn how to easily change your smartwatch band with our step-by-step guides. Whether you're upgrading your style or replacing a worn-out band, these simple tutorials cover all the tips and tools you need to make the switch hassle-free!

On the rear of your Apple Watch, there are two small buttons - one at the top and one at the bottom of the back plate. These buttons are used to release the existing band (if installed).

To remove the existing band, press and hold one of the release buttons. This will allow yout to slide the band out of the slot. Repeat this step for both the top and bottom to remove the band completely.
 
To install the new band, simply slide the adapters into the slot (one side of the Apple Watch band adapter will have a silver magnet in the middle, this side of the adapter should face the same direction as the backplate). You will know the band has been intalled securely once you hear a slight click.

QuickFit (Garmin Fenix, Epix, Instinct, Quatix, MARQ, Tactix, Enduro, Descent, Approach)

The Garmin QuickFit system allows users to quick swap their watch band over by pushing the QuickFit button downwards. Doing so will release the band from the lug installed on the Garmin smartwatch:

Installation of a new watch band which utilises a QuickFit adapter is simply the reverse process, push down on the button and press the groove over the lug on the watch.

Quick Release (Garmin Vivomove, Lily, Vivoactive, Forerunner, Venu, Bounce)

For bands that utilise the quick release system, simply slide the quick release pin to the side to release the spring bar. This will allow the existing band to be removed from the watch.

For installation, the reverse is applicable. Slide the quick release pin inwards to compress the spring bar, align it with the grooves on the inside of the smartwatch and release to lock it in.

Fitbit Charge Series

Turn the device over and locate the band removal latches:

Simply press these latches to release the bands:

To install your new OzStraps band, simply press it into the end of the Fitbit Charge device, a slight click should be heard once secure. The side of the band with the band keeper should be installed on the top side of the watch.

Fitbit Versa Series

Locate the band removal latches on the rear of the Fitbit Versa device

Press the latches to release the bands:

To install your OzStraps Fitbit Versa band, simply press it into each end of the watch until a click is heard. The side of the band with the band keeper should be installed on the top side of the watch.

Button Style Band

Press the button on each side of the band to release:

To install your OzStraps Samsung Galaxy Watch band simply press the button while inserting the band into the watch. Align the band's spring bars with the lug of the Galaxy Watch as required.

Quick Release Band

Slide the spring bar inwards (there is a knob on the band that can be moved). This will allow you to release the existing band.

To install your OzStraps Samsung Galaxy Watch band, simply align the spring bar of the new band with one side lug hole of the Galaxy Watch. Once this has been aligned slide the spring bar inwards and connect the other side of the spring bar.

Galaxy Watch Ultra

Press the band release button on the backplate of the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra to release the existing band.

To install the OzStraps Samsung Galaxy Watch band, align the band with the watch and push in until a click is heard.

Press the band release button located next to the end of the existing Google Pixel Watch band.

To install your OzStraps Google Pixel watch band, simply push the band into the grooves of the watch until a click is heard.
